An architect for over 30 years, Richard has worked in expertise and technical consulting on techno-legal issues, safety, and the obsolescence of existing buildings, while developing specialized experience in construction technologies and materials, collaborating on several publications and scientific articles. He has carried out various refurbishment and rehabilitation projects, either independently or in collaboration with other architects. 

 

For many years, Richard has shared his passion and knowledge as a trainer with the Ordre des architectes du Québec, Bâtiment durable Québec (BDQ), and various other organizations. He collaborates with the building engineering department at Université de Sherbrooke and the wood engineering department at Université Laval. He is regularly invited to give lectures to different organizations. 

 

For the past three years, he has been dedicated to developing the experimental site Auvergne Living Lab, which studies building envelopes in the context of eco-responsible construction and energy efficiency by developing, implementing, and monitoring various innovative assemblies.
